An overhead crane, commonly called a bridge crane, is a type of crane found in industrial environments. An overhead crane consists of parallel runways with a traveling bridge spanning the gap. A hoist, the lifting component of a crane, travels along the bridge.

Overhead Hot Cranes are the kind of cranes, which are normally seen in factories that have functions of lifting and shifting the huge materials. They are not similar to the cranes, which are used on construction or mobile sites but principally for work related to manufacturing or repair applications. Such cranes are normally utilized in the procedure of refining steel and some other metals such as aluminum and copper. From the first footstep of the manufacturing activity till the ending, when the end product leaves the manufacturing plant, metal is only managed by the Overhead Hot Cranes.
